Add a note to a line

Leave a note beside a line. Notes never print.

  1. Click in the line.
  2. Choose Edit > Add Note (⇧⌘K).
  3. Type your note, then click Done.

The first time you add a note, eDraft asks for your name and, if you like, your role. Your notes carry this name, in eDraft and in Final Draft. The name is kept on this Mac.

A note appears as a mark in the right margin, beside its line. Notes don’t print.

You can also add a note in these ways:

  • Control-click a line, then choose Add Note.
  • Select some text, then click Add Note in the bar above the selection. The note goes on the line.
  • Click More in the toolbar, then choose Add Note.
