Change a line’s element
Use the Format menu, the toolbar, or the keyboard.
Click in the line, then do any of the following:
- Choose Format > Element, then choose an element.
- Press one of the shortcuts in the table below.
- Click the Element button in the toolbar, then choose an element. The elements that fit best where you’re typing are listed first, under Suggested.
- Press Tab to step through the elements that can follow the line above. See Move between elements with Tab and Return.

Centered is in the toolbar’s Element menu, and Lyrics is in Format > Element.
