If a Final Draft file opens in Final Draft

Open a .fdx file in eDraft when Final Draft is installed.

If Final Draft is installed on your Mac, double-clicking a .fdx file can open it in Final Draft. To open it in eDraft, do one of the following:

  • In eDraft, choose File > Open, select the file, then click Open.
  • In the Finder, Control-click the file, then choose Open With > eDraft.

To always open .fdx files in eDraft, select one in the Finder and choose File > Get Info. Choose eDraft from the “Open with” menu, then click Change All.
