Rename a character

Change a character’s name in every cue, and in action and dialogue if you choose.

1. In the Navigator, click Cast, then click the character’s name.
2. At the top of the column that opens, click the More button (…), then choose Rename Character.
3. Type the new name.
4. If the name appears only in cues, click Rename. If it also appears in action or dialogue, click Rename Everywhere to change it there too, or Cues Only to change only the cues.

Before you rename, eDraft shows how many cues will change and how many other times the name appears. If the new name belongs to a character who already speaks, the two characters are merged.
